Course Description
The ICSE Grade 10 program is a comprehensive, exam-oriented academic curriculum that integrates deep conceptual understanding with practical applications across Mathematics and Science. This program is aligned with the ICSE Board’s assessment structure and is designed to equip students with analytical reasoning, numerical proficiency, and scientific literacy. Mathematics covers algebra, geometry, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, statistics, and commercial applications. Science is divided into Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, where students engage in conceptual learning, rigorous numerical solving, and practical experimentation to understand natural phenomena, chemical processes, and biological systems.
Learning Objective
This program aims to prepare students for their board examinations with a strong focus on concept clarity, problem-solving accuracy, and interdisciplinary applications. It enhances logical and critical thinking by integrating theory with experimentation and real-life contexts. Students will learn to construct mathematical proofs, apply scientific laws to physical scenarios, balance chemical equations, analyze biological systems, and understand data through graphical representations. The curriculum fosters academic discipline, examination readiness, and scientific curiosity.
What Will I Learn?
Students will strengthen their mathematical foundation with advanced topics such as quadratic equations, matrices, logarithms, probability, and trigonometric identities. They’ll apply geometry and algebra to real-life situations, solve commercial mathematics problems involving banking and GST, and interpret graphical data using histograms and ogives. In Physics, students explore forces, refraction, electricity, electromagnetism, sound, calorimetry, and radioactivity through numerical applications and diagrams. Chemistry builds understanding of chemical bonding, acids and bases, electrolysis, metallurgy, and organic compounds with an emphasis on reactions and laboratory methods. Biology offers detailed learning of systems such as circulatory, excretory, nervous, and reproductive, along with genetics, evolution, pollution, and population studies. The integrated curriculum ensures holistic scientific understanding and mathematical skill development essential for higher education and competitive exams.
